Maslak is one of the most important districts in Istanbul. It is located on the European side of the city, Sarıyer is one of the main business districts of Istanbul. It used to be an exclusive of Şişli municipality, but was far to the north and actually closer to the municipalities of Sarıyer and Beşiktaş.
