<h3>About the district</h3> Büyükçekmece is a district located in the west of Istanbul. It is surrounded by Beylikdüzü and Esenyurt in the east, Silivri in the west, Çatalca and Arnavutköy districts in the north, and the Marmara Sea in the south. The district is considered the most last urban settlement in the west of Istanbul. It is also distinguished by its nice lake and its coast of the Sea of Marmara. It is also one of the most tranquil areas in Istanbul as it is far from the center. The district has a population of about 258,000 people and the average age is 34 years.
